Sulzer USA is Hiring an Area Superintendent Near Santa Fe, CA
Area Superintendent - Full Time - Santa Fe Springs (CA), United States
Join our Services_AME team within Services division in United States as Area Superintendent to help us take Sulzer to the next level.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Assigns work to shop employees and assists them in accomplishing tasks
- Resolves issues with work instructions to shop, includes interfacing with engineering, purchasing, planning and contracts managers
- Coordinates and communicates schedules and requirements with other departments where services and materials are provided or received
- Writes and processes paperwork required by position including: supplies requisitions, maintenance requisitions, labor reporting, yard clearance documents, etc.
- Participates in production meetings with current status of work in process and provides input on schedule versus actual capacity
- Performs personnel management functions such as performance appraisals and development guidance
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you bring to Sulzer:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experience in related environment, preferably working with pumps
- Proven leadership ability
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
